Applications

Insul-Lock™ Plus products are miniature devices that provide cost-effective power connections for LED lighting, multiple-screen video walls, stage lighting, and other applications. The devices’ black body design helps them blend into their surroundings. An impact-resistant thermoplastic body makes the device ideal for portable power distribution in entertainment venues, stadiums, arenas, exhibit halls, broadcast studios, and auditoriums.

Features and Benefits

These devices carry a 20A 250vAC rating and work well outdoors. You can also safely disconnect them from power while still under load. They comply with NEC 520.68 for extra-hard usage portable cable in power stage equipment, accepting up to 12/3 AWG SO cables. Insul-Lock Connectors and Panel Mounts achieve a UL 50E enclosure type 4X and IP65 rating when you use them with a mating connector or a panel-mount, watertight cover (which comes in spring-loaded or bean chain versions). The Insul-Lock Plus line provides durability and reliability for demanding entertainment and lighting applications. Connectors also include a quick-release, vibration-resistant latch for ease of use.

Specifications

The HBLFC carries a 20 amp and 250 volts AC rating. It has 2 poles and 3 wires. It accepts #18/3 up to #12/3 AWG SO cable. The connector uses screw terminal connections. The body consists of impact-resistant thermoplastic, and the contacts are a durable copper alloy.

Mating Products

The HBLFC Cable End Connector is compatible with Powercon connectors and panel mounts. Use it with the HBLMP Receptacle Panel mount or the HBLMFPD Male and Female Panel Mount.

You can use the HBLFC with a variety of devices requiring temporary power, including lighting fixtures, video walls, sound equipment, and other portable electrical equipment. You can also connect it to panel-mount inlets for robust power distribution systems.

UL Recognition: The connector has UL Recognition to both US and Canadian standards.
UL50E Enclosure Type 4X: This rating applies when you mate the connector with an HBLMC or with a compatible panel mount and watertight cover.
IP65 Rating: The HBLFC connector achieves an IP65 rating when you mate it with an HBLMC or with a compatible panel mount and watertight cover.
NEC Compliance: The HBLFC complies with NEC 520.68 for extra-hard usage portable cables in power stage equipment.
